I am so excited and I don’t even drink vodka.  Being from New England, like many other areas, places a certain pride in Boston.  The wonderful people at Absolut decided to make a bunch of limited run Boston edition flavor.  I like to think that, from my heritage, that they would have at least put Guiness in the vodka but sadly no.  They decided, due to the Boston Tea Party, they added tea to it.  One of the really cool things about the bottle is the Green Monster background on the label.  Here is an except of the write up or something…damn it is early.

Absolute Vodka is paying tribute to Boston by creating a special edition brew just for the Hub.

The Swedish spirit maker is out with a new limited edition flavor — black tea and elderflower vodka. The company’s marketing president said the significance of tea in Boston’s history is well known, which is why it was included as an ingredient.

The label on the bottle has a Green Monster-like backdrop.

Absolut plans to toast the city Wednesday with the unveiling of a “Wall of Pride” on Boylston Plaza at the Prudential Center and former “Cheers” bartender Eddie Doyle will preside.

Special tiles on the structure that have quotes from notable Bostonians will be auctioned off to raise money for the Charles River Conservancy.

The Boston-flavored vodka is the third the company has rolled out since 2007 after starting with Los Angeles and New Orleans. Absolute Vodka is paying tribute to Boston by creating a special edition brew just for the Hub.
