Ok…So this is a band from a good friend of mine – hence the Shameless Plug.  Pesky J Nixon is a Folk band (yes, I said Folk). Personally, I really like to listen to the most eclectic mix of music you can imagine.  We are talking about Les Claypool to Bach to Cradle of Filth to Hed P.E but I was never one for folk or country.  So for me to say I really like Pesky’s stuff is just…weird. Ethan gets extra respect, due to the fact he has to deal with me on a daily basis because we work together.  I am in a nice mood right now so I am going to include their music player too.  Check out their site and buy a few tickets to go see them in person (something I have yet to do, but hey…he hasn’t visited me yet either). They are a damn good time!

I am so excited and I don’t even drink vodka.  Being from New England, like many other areas, places a certain pride in Boston.  The wonderful people at Absolut decided to make a bunch of limited run Boston edition flavor.  I like to think that, from my heritage, that they would have at least put Guiness in the vodka but sadly no.  They decided, due to the Boston Tea Party, they added tea to it.  One of the really cool things about the bottle is the Green Monster background on the label.  Here is an except of the write up or something…damn it is early.

Absolute Vodka is paying tribute to Boston by creating a special edition brew just for the Hub.

The Swedish spirit maker is out with a new limited edition flavor — black tea and elderflower vodka. The company’s marketing president said the significance of tea in Boston’s history is well known, which is why it was included as an ingredient.

The label on the bottle has a Green Monster-like backdrop.

Absolut plans to toast the city Wednesday with the unveiling of a “Wall of Pride” on Boylston Plaza at the Prudential Center and former “Cheers” bartender Eddie Doyle will preside.

Special tiles on the structure that have quotes from notable Bostonians will be auctioned off to raise money for the Charles River Conservancy.

The Boston-flavored vodka is the third the company has rolled out since 2007 after starting with Los Angeles and New Orleans. Absolute Vodka is paying tribute to Boston by creating a special edition brew just for the Hub.
